A new 10-day event is bringing a mouth-watering food festival, a jam-packed outdoor stage and a classic motor display to Kent.
Quex Fest, hosted in the grounds of Quex Park in Birchington-on-Sea, is taking the best bits of a summer day out – food, drink and live entertainment – and putting them all in one place for the school holidays.

The string of family-friendly events kicks off with the Isle of Thanet Food and Drink Festival from Friday, August 1 to Sunday, August 3.
The free festival, organised by Zoom Events, will give visitors a chance to tuck into a selection of local produce, artisan bakes and global street food, followed by a cold pint from the real ale and cider bar.
There will also be children’s workshops, an inflatable obstacle course and live music.

Then, just a few days later, a pop-up marquee in the park will house a night of stand-up comedy, headlined by Clinton Baptiste, best known for his role in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights.
The show takes place on Thursday, August 7, from 8pm to 10pm, and you can book tickets online here.

It’s all rounded off by a three-day music festival, featuring a line-up of at least 30 country, blues and rock ‘n’ roll artists, the following weekend.
Singer and guitarist Ian Siegal, American country musician Nathan Leazer, Italian duo the Cinelli Brothers and Kent-based band the Smokin’ Mavericks are just a few of the names set to appear at this year’s Motor Mule Festival.
Visitors can also enjoy line-dancing lessons, a country disco with DJ Shamblin’ Sexton, a classic car and motorcycle show, children’s rides and food and drink stalls.
The Motor Mule Festival takes place from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 10. You can book tickets here.
Parking is free and the venue is a 15-minute walk from Birchington train station.
