Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their pursuit of Joao Palhinha, and now Fabrizio Romano has revealed the midfielder’s stance regarding a move to North London.

It was stated that should Tottenham land Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, their attention was expected to turn to securing a number six, and that looks to be the case, despite Gibbs-White staying put at Nottingham Forest.
Bayern Munich’s Joao Palhinha has emerged as Spurs’ preferred option for the number six role, with reports claiming that Thomas Frank is a fan of Palhinha and has told the Spurs hierarchy that the 30-year-old would be a good fit for his system.

It has also been reported that Spurs have begun discussions over a loan deal for Palhinha. A fresh report from Fabrizio Romano has now revealed the stance of Palhinha amid links to Tottenham.
The transfer expert has stated in a tweet on X that the Bayern Munich man is open to a Spurs switch, as he is keen to play more regularly and return to Premier League football. The journalist also revealed that talks between Bayern and Tottenham will follow, as a loan deal is being explored.
