Through the Legion Gaming Community, Lenovo has already given away multiple free games, and in August 2025, it announced that there will be two giveaways: Ultra Street Fighter IV and Strider.
Lenovo gives away free games through its Legion Gaming Community platform from time to time. Most of these game giveaways are actually worth claiming. For example, in June 2025, the platform gave away The Ascent, a top-rated action-shooter RPG.
As for upcoming giveaways, Lenovo has announced two free games that are set to go live in August 2025. Both of them are top-rated, and they have a combined value of around $45.
Ultra Street Fighter IV – Free on August 6, 2025
Among the two upcoming free games on Legion Gaming Community is Ultra Street Fighter IV. It will be available to claim on August 6, 2025, and it’s worth $29.99. Released in 2014, it’s a fighting game that has been well-received by players. More specifically, it has a score of 82 on Metacritic and currently boasts the “Very Positive” player rating on Steam.
As a part of Capcom’s Street Fighter IV series, it brings the entire roster that’s available in the non-Ultra version but adds five new characters and six more stages. Capcom has also integrated many character tweaks based on community feedback.
However, the core gameplay is still the same in Ultra Street Fighter IV. This upcoming free game also retains the classic fighting mechanics but introduces “Ultra Combos.” Overall, with the tweaks and additions, it’s regarded as a polished iteration in the series, and it caters well to both casual players and tournament veterans.
Strider – Free on Lenovo Legion Gaming Community on August 20, 2025
The second upcoming free game on Legion Gaming Community is Strider. It’s a reboot of the original 1989 release that’s worth $14.99 and has a score of 78 on Metacritic. Speaking of the original release, it was a notable fighting title with innovative controls and fast-paced action, which eventually inspired modern game franchises like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry.
As for the reboot that launched in 2014, it maintains the same core concept of Hiryu fighting Grandmaster Meio but expands the title with better combat speed and new abilities.
