The son of British boxing great David Haye has joined Arsenal’s academy.
Kingston Haye moved to the Gunners from Sutton United and has been thrust into their Under-13s side.
The youngster’s switch came after he scooped the Under-11s Player of the Year award with Sutton in 2024.
And he already has set his sights on taking over world football, as revealed by his iconic old man in an Instagram post in May 2024 following the award from his former club.
“I am incredibly proud of my son, Kingston,” Haye wrote.
“At just 10 years old, he has won the Under 11’s Sutton Player of the Year award. He is part of an excellent team at @sutton_academy, which has been instrumental in teaching him the essential fundamentals to one day reach his full potential.

“Kingston is extremely dedicated and is pursuing his dream of becoming the world’s best footballer. Stay tuned!”
Kingston will now look to join a star-studded club of Arsenal academy graduates who progressed into their first team.
The likes of Jack Wilshere, Bukayo Saka and Alex Iwobi to name just three are some who rose through the ranks at Hale End and went on to star for the Gunners.
Does David Haye have any other sporting children?
Kingston also isn’t the only son of Haye who is a budding athlete.
His 17-year-old son, Cassius, is a promising tennis player.
Cassius is ranked 1,924th on the ITF Junior circuit and boasts a 74 per cent win rate, having won 17 matches and lost six.
Perhaps the sporting promise of his two sons is no surprise given the legendary exploits of Haye between the ropes.
David Haye’s boxing career
Haye made British boxing history in 2001 when he became the first Brit to make the final of the World Amateur Boxing Championships but fell short at the last hurdle against Cuba’s Odlanier Solis.
He turned professional in 2002 and entered the cruiserweight division, where he won his first 10 fights but was beaten in his eleventh by Carl Thompson for the IBO cruiserweight strap.
Haye would eventually claim his first world titles in his 21st fight when he stopped Jean-Marc Mormeck in November 2007.
The stoppage victory over the Frenchman saw Haye scoop up the WBA, WBC and The Ring cruiserweight titles.
Haye added the WBO cruiserweight title to his collection in the following fight against Enzo Maccarinelli, which was also his last at cruiserweight before he moved up to heavyweight.
He became heavyweight world champion in just his second fight at the weight when he ousted Nikolai Valuev via majority decision to win the WBA title.
Haye would defend the WBA heavyweight crown twice before he suffered his first loss in 16 fights when he was beaten by Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011.
The Brit would fight five more times in his career and hung up the gloves in June 2018 following back-to-back defeats to Tony Bellew.
