Ayaneo has revealed that its latest dual display gaming handheld will soon be available globally. Not only has the company confirmed that the Ayaneo Pocket DS will be coming to Indiegogo soon, but it is already offering an early launch discount for those willing to put up a small reservation fee.
Ayaneo has been particularly busy in the last few days with new product announcements. To recap, the company has revealed its first smartphone and gaming laptop this week while also outlining a new budget sub-brand called Konkr.
Moreover, it presented an ARM-powered alternative to the x86-based Flip 1S DS, which it released earlier this month alongside an equivalent keyboard variant. Ultimately, Ayaneo decided against confirming when any of its new devices would be available to purchase, even its delayed Gaming Pad. However, it seems that the Pocket DS will be the first of the bunch to receive a global launch.
Although Ayaneo has not confirmed as much yet, it has now listed the Pocket DS on Indiegogo to signify the gaming handheld’s impending release. In the process, the Ayaneo has reiterated various hardware specifications like a 165 Hz OLED main display, an 8,000 mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset borrowed from other Ayaneo devices like the Pocket Evo (curr. $459 on Amazon).
Surprisingly, Ayaneo is also offering a launch discount for those who pay a $1 reservation fee. Available once one signs up to receive more details about the crowdfunding campaign, Ayaneo claims that paying the $1 fee will net a $20 discount for Pocket DS backers. It is worth noting that one can request a reservation fee before the campaign launches. Please see Indiegogo’s support page for more information in this regard. At this stage, Ayaneo has not confirmed when its Pocket DS crowdfunding campaign will begin.
