It’s that time of the month again. Sony has revealed the PS Plus August 2025 free monthly games, which are available for all members of the PlayStation online subscription service. Next month’s selection looks to be another solid month as it includes a hit, critically acclaimed RPG that soulslike fans will surely enjoy.
What are the PS Plus Essential August 2025 free monthly games?
The most notable PS Plus Essential free game for August 2025 is none other than Lies of P. Based on Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio, the puppet is searching for Mr. Geppetto beginning at the Krat, a city overrun by killer puppets. The soulslike certainly gives Bloodborne vibes, both visually and mechanically.
Here are all the PS Plus Essential August 2025 free monthly games as well as their available platforms:
- Lies of P (PS5, PS4)
- Day Z (PS4)
- My Hero One’s Justice 2 (PS4)
All three of these games will be available to all PS Plus members starting on August 5. Members have until September 1 to claim all three.
As three games enter, another three leave. PS Plus members have until August 4 to claim the July 2025 PS Plus Essential free games, which include Diablo 4, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant.
Additionally, Sony is celebrating the 15th anniversary of PS Plus with some freebies. Specifically, beginning on August 5, subscribers can claim a set of 15th anniversary avatars based on some of the most popular PlayStation titles. This includes Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarok, and Twisted Metal.
