With July coming to a close, there’s only one place my mind goes: Halloween. Sure, it’s still three months away, but the scariest season of them all is always fun to prepare for. As such, it’s a good time to consider what horror games you’ll be playing over the month of October to really get yourself in the spirit of things.

While the original Dead Space released back in 2008, that’s not the exact game you’ll be getting if you grabbed it on Steam. A job to repair the USG Ishimura goes sideways fast, and you have to keep yourself alive against hordes of Necromorphs. While other horror games would give you a full arsenal of guns to work with, Isaac has to make-do with the engineering tools he has on him, which gives the game a really cool take on the survival horror genre.
