The best one can do amid heavy rain and lightning is to take shelter. After all- a solid roof is supposed to keep one safe from getting struck by lightning and dying, correct? Well, maybe something similar was in the mind of this US man- Twitch streamer Christian Howard- who was calmly playing a game and was livestreaming inside his house- while the skies were lighting up in all kinds of colours- thanks to lightning and storm. Suddenly, in the middle of the stream, something unexpected happened; Howard got struck by lightning inside his home! Yes, take your time to sink that in. The incident unfolded in the US’ North Carolina on July 19, as per The New York Post.
The clip showed the gamer- popular by his online name ‘chrispymate’- playing, when a sudden flash lit up his window and room. Seconds later, Howard jumped back as he allegedly felt the lightning strike him.
Startled by the lightning inside his house, the gamer ran away from the desk and then came back towards the microphone and spoke about the unlikely incident. “Bro, I just got struck by lightning,” he was heard saying in the clip. “So, I was sitting in here and I had my earbuds in and a big thing of lightning hit, and like, my ears, I felt lightning go, like, through my earbuds,” he further explained.
As per Fox News, Howard then checked on his cats, who luckily looked safe. What was further surprising was the next claim the gamer made; he allegedly felt charged up the next day. “I haven’t gone to a full sprint just yet. I’ll let you know,” he was quoted as saying to Fox News. “But, I did get super strength the next day. I had the best gym session I’ve ever had,” he was further quoted as saying to Fox News.
The video went viral in an instant, drawing multiple reactions. Most found the incident bizarre, while some recalled other similar stories. Times Now could not confirm the exact details and the authenticity of the post.
