PlayStation Plus gamers are urging fellow subscribers to check out a joyful game before it leaves the service soon.
There are tons of games to play on PlayStation Plus, especially when you subscribe to the Extra and Premium tiers, which offer a plethora of PS5 and PS4 titles. What’s more, PS Plus Premium offers retro classics of yesteryear.
So it’s understandable if choosing what to play next can feel a bit overwhelming. We all know that feeling of having loads of games or movies that we can watch, but we’re unable to make a decision.
In a post by Reddit user MichaelWildeboer, a list of games detailed what’s leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on 19 August 2025. One of those games is a charming indie game, recommended by a subscriber.
“Anyone who hasn’t needs to play Bugsnax. It’s a short experience, but it is such a joy with some fun puzzle elements and a lovely world,” DVDN27 recommended.
“It’s such a great game,” replied Gabrielleraul with Coulombeqc, adding, “Yes, it was great! And surprisingly dark at times.”
“I love this game, and I hope they make a sequel,” said ComfortableSpace9816.
Originally released in 2020, without giving too much away, Bugsnax is a very weird but charming game in which you investigate the mystery of Lizbert on Snaktooth Island, populated by bugs that resemble human food.
You’ll also be required to solve puzzles and take interesting photos of the island inhabitants. Think Pokémon Snap on magic mushrooms, and you’re on the right track.
Bugsnax will leave PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on 19 August 2025. However, if you previously added the game to your library when it was included in the Essential tier, it will remain playable with an active subscription.
Bugsnax is also available on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and compatible mobile devices.
