Morgan Gibbs-White has made an interesting statement after snubbing Tottenham’s approach and signing a new contract at Nottingham Forest.
News broke on Saturday that Gibbs-White decided to put pen to paper on a new contract at Nottingham Forest, with the development coming as a huge blow to the Lilywhites.
The news took many by surprise as it was being reported by several sources that Gibbs-White remained determined to complete a move to Tottenham until a couple of days ago.
However, the 25-year-old has had a change of heart and committed to a new deal at the City Ground until 2028, and he has now provided his reasons for doing so.

The England international has now revealed that he has been feeling at home at the East Midlands club since joining three years ago from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old remarked he believes in the project that is currently underway at the club and expressed his desire to achieve something special with the Tricky Trees.
Gibbs-White told Forest’s official website: “I’ve felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my teammates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable.
“I believe in what we’re building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special. I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis changed Morgan Gibbs-White’s mind about Tottenham by travelling to Portugal, where the club are having their pre-season training camp, to have a face-to-face conversation with his star midfielder.
The Greek billionaire is said to have given a passionate speech to the midfielder about the ambitious project he is building at Forest and explained that he wanted the 25-year-old to be at the heart of it.
It was revealed that the Tottenham target was so impressed by Marinakis’s vision, ambition and passion that he agreed to commit his future to Forest.
