Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on LAFC’s move for Heung-min Son, explaining what the Tottenham captain’s next step will be after the MLS side submitted an offer.

LAFC FC have now submitted an offer for Heung-min Son, with the Californian side determined to bring the 33-year-old through the door this summer.

It remains to be seen whether their offer will be accepted, but the one thing we know for sure is that Son will be part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour to South Korea.

That is because the forward has to play in the pre-season friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium against Newcastle United for commercial reasons.

Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to confirm that an offer has indeed arrived in North London from LAFC.

The journalist revealed that the MLS side, who have Tottenham Hotspur legend Hugo Lloris in their ranks, want to make Son the ‘new star’ of their project.

Romano added that Son will now speak to Thomas Frank immediately to clarify his future, with the Lilywhites ready to allow the 33-year-old to make the final decision on whether he wants to stay or leave.

Heung-min Son’s exit is far from inevitable

With the Tottenham star having just one year left on his contract, and with Thomas Frank refusing to confirm that Son will stay, some might feel that an exit is inevitable for the Tottenham captain.

However, in recent days, some sources have claimed that Son could decide to stay at Spurs until January and reassess his situation during the winter.
