A man pulled over by police was found with a lock knife in his waistband when police searched him.
Luke Archer was found with the knife on July 20, when he came to the attention of officers on patrol while driving his car.

They searched the 33-year-old under the Misuse of Drugs Act and found he had a folding pocket knife which exceeded the legal length of 7.6cm.
Archer of Perry Street, Maidstone, was then charged with possessing a bladed article in public and admitted the offence when he was hauled before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on July 22.
Neil Sweeney, prosecuting, said: “He was in the driver’s seat and was the sole occupant.
“They found the lock knife in his waistband. He was not wielding it, and he has limited previous convictions from a long time ago.”

Toby Burrows, defending, asked the court to consider ordering a pre-sentencing report to be carried out on Archer before he learned his fate.
He added that being in possession of a knife was a serious offence and would warrant a report to find out more about why Archer had offended.
Magistrates agreed and ordered one and bailed Archer until he is sentenced at Medway Magistrates’ Court on September 18.
He was granted conditional bail until then.
