Amazon is clear that the world of video games is a field to be exploited in terms of bringing them to television. Prime Video stood out for its adaptation of Fallout last year, and in the future, it will seek to repeat its success with a story that never fails: a massacre of Nazis with acid humor.
It’s Wolfenstein. According to Variety, Zenimax Media’s license will be the next to debut with a live-action series, meaning it will feature real actors. No details about the script have been revealed, such as whether it will follow Blazkowicz’s story in the originals or if it will be more closely tied to the MachineGames reboot. The only thing that is known is the story’s headline: “The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.”

It is known that a movie was in development a little over ten years ago, but the project ultimately came to nothing. Wolfenstein is one of the most important FPS brands in Zenimax Media’s portfolio, alongside Doom. It is surprising that the latter has not yet been selected. Perhaps the appeal of an alternate universe led by the Nazis and the quest to overthrow them with lead was the ultimate trigger for choosing it in the first place.
