Konami Joins UAE’s Regulated Gaming Market

Konami Gaming, Inc. has recently obtained a license from the United Arab Emirates’ General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), becoming the 14th authorized supplier in the country. This certification allows Konami to legally provide casino and gaming products within the UAE as part of the burgeoning commercial gaming sector.

Expansion of Licensed Gaming Suppliers

Konami joins a growing group of licensed vendors, including renowned names like Aristocrat, IGT, and Novomatic. This increase in licensed suppliers reflects the UAE’s push to develop a regulated gambling industry, particularly ahead of anticipated casino openings such as the Wynn Al Marjan, which is set to be the Middle East’s first fully regulated casino establishment.

Industry Leaders Take Strategic Positions

Amidst the rise in licensed suppliers, international companies are strategically positioning themselves within the UAE market. For example, Light & Wonder recently secured a license, and Hard Rock announced plans to open a new property in Ras Al Khaimah’s beach district, near the Wynn Al Marjan development.

Commitment to Compliance and Market Growth

Tom Jingoli, President and COO of Konami Gaming, emphasized the company’s dedication to compliance and integrity. He noted that as the UAE expands its regulated gaming economy, Konami is committed to delivering innovation and excellence consistent with its presence across hundreds of global gaming jurisdictions.

Future Developments in UAE’s Gaming Landscape

Other major players like MGM Resorts International have expressed interest in entering the UAE market, although their projects may follow Wynn Resorts’ lead in launching the region’s inaugural casino. Overall, the recent licensing wave signals strong momentum and anticipation for a growing, well-regulated gambling industry in the United Arab Emirates.
