Australian Twitch streamer and YouTuber Loserfruit (Kathleen Belsten) recently pulled together an awesome gig: introducing Marvel Rivals to the main cast of new Marvel film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Loserfruit hosts Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), and Evan Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) in a private gameplay session, where she teaches them how to play the game, and the characters they play in the film.
The actors clearly have great chemistry with each other (despite no doubt an exhaustive press tour), and Loserfruit does a wonderful just keeping things light, positive, and wholesome.
It’s also clear that most of the actors have little to no experience playing video games. Pascal and Kirby both struggle with the twin-stick, third-person controls, which can be challenging for non-gamers.
Loserfruit spends about half the video teaching the game and letting them mess around in the training mode, before entering a real match.
Pedro Pascal remarking that Invisible Woman avatar is “very beautiful” is so wholesome coming from him. Vanessa Kirby enjoying the fan-favorite Malice skin for Invisible Woman is sure to ignite the fan base as well!
Marvel Rivals launched in December 2024 and remains one of the more popular online competitive games, sporting 6v6 matches of hero-centric gameplay, similar to Overwatch. All four members of the Fantastic Four were added in the Season 1 update earlier this year.
Marvel Rivals is free to play on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and rated T for Teen. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is in theaters now.
