It looks like Ayaneo has a few new high-end gaming handhelds up its sleeve. With GPD having just confirmed that it will be showcasing the Win 5 powered by AMD Strix Halo next month, Ayaneo has decided to schedule a new ‘Strategic Sharing Session’ before the end of July.
Ayaneo has just released the Flip 1S in dual-display and built-in keyboard variants. Currently financed through Indiegogo, the Flip 1S is available with the same AMD Ryzen 7 8840U and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APUs as the Ayaneo 3 that the company introduced earlier this year (curr. $1,254.95 on Amazon). Now, it seems that the company has one or multiple high-end handhelds in the works that it will be unveiling before the month is out.
For context, GPD has just confirmed that it will be showcasing the world’s first AMD Strix Halo-powered gaming handheld next month in Shanghai. Replacing the Win 4, the GPD Win 5 appears capable of cooling the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 while it consumes over 60 W in triple-A games. In response, Ayaneo has revealed that it will be hosting its next ‘Strategic Sharing Session’ on July 28 at 12:00 UTC.
As the embedded images below show, the company is keeping its cards close to its chest for the time being. With that being said, it has hinted that it has ‘exciting reveals’ and ‘mystery surprises’ in store, which will be joined by a full product roadmap. At this stage, it seems that Ayaneo plans to reveal more details about the Gaming Pad, which has been re-branded under its ‘Pocket’ devision’. However, a popular Weibo leaker does not believe that the company has created a competing AMD Strix Halo gaming handheld at this point, though.
