Skytech Legacy Gaming PC (9900X3D)
Ryzen 9 9900X3D 4.4 GHz (5.5GHz Turbo), X870 Motherboard, NVIDIA RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7, 4TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, 64GB DDR5 6000 RGB, 1000W GOLD ATX
What does this gaming PC bring to the table?
There isn’t anything in this PC that is worth complaining about, as all of the components are overkill for normal users.
Ryzen 9 9900X3D
The Ryzen 9 9900X3D is the second-best 9000X3D processor, right behind the 9950X3D. That being said, we haven’t tested it ourselves, but there are plenty of online reviews available. The gaming and synthetic performance is kind of a mixed bag with these processors, as the 9950X3D has better productivity while the 9800X3D takes the crown in gaming.
However, that doesn’t mean that this CPU doesn’t have a place, and if you don’t have the budget for the 9950X3D, it should serve you well. To give you an idea, we’ll leverage the review of Tom’s Hardware. In Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p ultra settings, this CPU managed 128 FPS, tying with the 7800X3D. However, in other titles like F1 24 and Final Fantasy XIV, it was ahead of the 7800X3D with 289 and 210 FPS, respectively.
When it came to productivity, it got 1,885 points in the Cinebench 2024 multi-core test. For comparison, the 265K, 14900K, 9950X, and 9950X3D all have much better scores. However, it should still be able to deliver excellent performance because its standalone performance isn’t subpar.
RTX 5090
To ensure that you face no issues during gaming and other graphical workflows, this gaming PC features the RTX 5090, which is the best graphics card available right now. It hasn’t been made clear which RTX 5090 will be in this PC, but the output shouldn’t vary a lot between variants.
That being said, we’ll use TechPowerUp’s review of the 5090 to showcase its excellence. They tested the ASUS TUF variant, and it managed 112 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K. If that didn’t impress you, in Starfield, it got 113 FPS, which is a very difficult title to run. After running a good bunch of games, the average FPS at 4K that this GPU can manage is 152 FPS.
Other hardware
To ensure that the RTX 5090 and the 9900X3D aren’t held back by other components, Skytech didn’t cut any corners. With this gaming PC, you’ll get an X870 motherboard serving as the foundation, meaning that you should be able to easily overclock the 9900X3D for enhanced output.
Also, there is an AIO CPU cooler that should keep the 9900X3D if you overclock it or even if you enable PBO. Besides that, there is a 4TB NVMe SSD that should provide more than enough storage for games and applications, and also result in fast access and load times. 64GB of DDR5 RAM operating at 6,000 MHz should ensure that, regardless of the workflow at hand, you won’t run into efficiency or performance degradation issues.
The cherry on top is the 1000W gold-rated ATX 3.0 PSU, which is the requirement for the RTX 5090. This PSU will safeguard all these components in case of a surge and ensure that the entire system gets the right amount of power depending on the workload.
Is this deal worth it?
If the tasks you have at hand are resource-intensive, such as training AI models, 3D rendering, video editing, and more, then this gaming PC should deliver excellent performance capable of handling all of that. Besides that, you should also be able to achieve high FPS at 4 K, without worrying about the screen size or whether the GPU will be able to handle it.
