Hasbro Brings Monopoly to Casino Floors in Deals with Aristocrat and Galaxy Gaming

Hasbro Inc. has secured multi-year licensing agreements with Aristocrat Gaming and Galaxy Gaming to develop branded casino games based on its intellectual property portfolio, with products expected to launch in early 2026.

The agreements represent Hasbro’s expanded push into regulated gambling markets. Aristocrat gains exclusive rights to develop MONOPOLY-themed slot machines for land-based casinos globally, while Galaxy Gaming will produce table games featuring MONOPOLY, YAHTZEE, and BATTLESHIP brands.

Aristocrat Secures Monopoly Slot Exclusivity

Aristocrat Gaming won the competitive bidding process for MONOPOLY slot development rights following a formal request-for-proposal review. The Australian gaming manufacturer will deploy Monopoly-branded machines across land-based casino floors beginning Q1 2026.

Monopoly ranks among the casino industry’s most successful branded slot franchises historically. The property-trading theme has generated consistent player engagement across multiple casino operators and jurisdictions.

Aristocrat’s deal excludes online casino and social gaming rights, which remain with separate licensees.

Galaxy Gaming Adds Table Game Portfolio

Galaxy Gaming secured rights to develop table games across three Hasbro properties: Monopoly, Yahtzee, and Battleship. The Las Vegas-based gaming supplier will distribute the branded games to casino operators worldwide.

“To be selected as Hasbro’s land-based slots partner – after a highly competitive process – is a proud milestone for Aristocrat Gaming,” said Craig Toner, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming. “Our commitment to innovation and bold creativity sets us apart, and we’re excited to reimagine MONOPOLY slot games for today’s players around the globe.”

Hasbro director of gaming relationships Claire Hunter Gregson commented: “It was evident through our selection process that Aristocrat Gaming was the natural fit for the next evolution of the Monopoly brand in the gaming category. We can’t wait for Monopoly fans to experience all new premium gaming content on casino floors.”

Galaxy’s portfolio will extend beyond traditional rule adaptations, incorporating casino-specific mechanics designed for regulated gaming environments. The company operates table games across 750+ casino locations and boasts some of the best online casinos in North America.

Table games represent approximately 15-20% of total casino gaming revenue in major U.S. markets, according to gaming industry data.

Strategic IP Licensing Expansion

The partnerships mark Hasbro’s broader strategy to monetise gaming IP across adult entertainment sectors.

Hasbro maintains separate licensing agreements for digital casino content. Evolution AB holds rights for online live dealer and digital slot development, while Bally’s Corporation operates the Monopoly-branded online casino platform. SciPlay Corporation manages Hasbro’s social casino gaming portfolio.

Branded Content Market Dynamics

Casino operators report higher player retention and engagement metrics with branded slot and table game content compared to generic themes.

Recognisable intellectual property reduces player acquisition costs and extends session duration across both land-based venues and the best online gambling sites.

The global casino gaming equipment market reached $5.2 billion in 2023, with branded content comprising an estimated 35-40% of new slot installations, according to industry research. Licensed IP content shows 23% higher revenue per unit compared to generic themes across major gambling sites and traditional casino floors.

Major entertainment brands including WWE, Paramount Pictures, and Warner Bros. have expanded casino licensing programs over the past 24 months, targeting similar player demographics.

Deployment Timeline and Market Access

Hasbro-branded casino games will launch across international markets in early 2026, pending regulatory approvals in individual jurisdictions. Both Aristocrat and Galaxy Gaming maintain established relationships with casino operators in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.

The agreements exclude certain jurisdictions where Hasbro maintains existing casino gaming partnerships or regulatory restrictions apply.

Monopoly-branded casino content has historically performed above industry averages for player engagement and revenue per unit metrics across multiple casino operators.

While the new deals focus on land-based casino floors, Hasbro’s track record of success with branded content in digital formats signals potential for future online casino partnerships.

With Monoploy already a top-performing title across multiple online platforms, a bespoke online casino licensing opportunity could emerge for another studio, complementing Hasbro’s broader gaming strategy.
