Tottenham Hotspur supporters have taken to social media to voice their thoughts on recent reports linking the club with a loan move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Tottenham Hotspur are still in the market for a holding midfielder, and in the past few days, they have been linked with Palhinha of Bayern Munich.
The former Fulham man has struggled for gametime since his move to Germany last season, and is now reported to be weighing up his future.
Tottenham have shown interest in Palhinha, and now new reports claim that Spurs are considering a loan move for the 30-year-old.
Tottenham fans react to Palhinha loan links
Spurs fans have not wasted any time responding to the latest reports that Daniel Levy and Tottenham are considering a loan move for Palhinha.
In fact, many Tottenham supporters have urged the club to get a deal for the Portuguese international done, as Thomas Frank’s side is in desperate need of a six.
One fan said: “My preference is that we sign him FFS, just get it done. We desperately need a 6.” One more added: “Not ideal. But we do need a 6. Shield 6 is better than no 6.”
Another fan simply commented: “That would be good…” Another supporter chimed in: “If true, I think a loan with an option to buy would be perfect.” While one more added: “Do it ffs, a crazy good deal.”
Other supporters, though, were not too keen, with one fan saying: “No thank you.” While another commented: “Cheap moves… let’s move on if we are not serious.”
Spurs transfer targets include Douglas Luiz and Adam Wharton
Tottenham have been linked with other holding midfielders this window as well, including Douglas Luiz and Adam Wharton.
However, the Spurs’ pursuit of Wharton hit a brick wall after recent reports claimed that Wharton’s preference is to remain at Crystal Palace for one more season, and while he is open to a move next summer, Liverpool are rumoured to be his preferred destination.
Douglas Luiz is also a name that has been thrown into the mix, with reports claiming that a player swap deal involving Yves Bissouma could be on.
