Tottenham Hotspur supporters are split over the club’s reported interest in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, as speculation swirls around a potential £40 million summer move.
In the past few days, reports have linked Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho did impress last term, grabbing 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 appearances for Manchester United, which is more than a lot of Tottenham’s current attackers.
However, the Argentine is reported to have had a falling out with Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim and has been asked to look for a new club.
Tottenham fans react to Alejandro Garnacho transfer links
Spurs fans have been quick to respond to the latest rumours linking the Manchester United man with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It is claimed that Alejandro Garnacho’s suitors believe he could be available for around £40 million, and that Tottenham are amongst a host of Premier League clubs interested in the Argentine, who wants to remain in England.
Tottenham supporters have been divided over the recent links, with many urging the club to stay away from the 21-year-old, while others are not opposed to the winger making a switch to N17.
One fan said: “If Son goes you just give whatever more minutes to Mikey Moore. You do not give United £40 million. People need to understand if we want more club-trained talent and ones of our own to stick with the club they need to be given the minutes to get experience and make a name for themselves.”
Another added: “Tottenham do not need Alejandro Garnacho, just signed Kudus. We need a defensive midfielder and a box-to-box creative midfielder like Morgan Gibbs-White. If we sign the players we need, Garnacho, I would not mind at all.”
A third commented: “We have enough players who can play there, so thank you very much for your concern, Man Utd.”
Others are keen on the winger moving to N17. One stated: “£40 million for Garnacho? That feels like daylight robbery in today’s market – Spurs should sprint, not walk.”
Another added: “If he can get his attitude sorted.” While a final fan commented: “I kinda like him. Could explode under Frank. Not sure we need him though. Depends on what we want with Moore, and we need to sell Son, which I think we will.”

Spurs must weigh up Garnacho move carefully
Tottenham Hotspur have sufficient cover in the forward areas ahead of the new season, but that depth could be weakened should Heung-min Son or Mikey Moore leave.
Rumours have it that Borussia Dortmund are preparing an offer for Mikey Moore, leaving Tottenham with a decision to make about the future of their young talent.
Captain Heung-min Son’s future is also in doubt, with reports claiming that Spurs are open to parting ways with Son if the right offers come in this summer.
Should these players depart from N17, then there would be a need to bolster the attacking ranks once more, but with Garnacho’s attitude problem, it remains to be seen if Thomas Frank would sanction a move for the Argentine.
