It came into force at 12.52pm today and lasts until 5pm.

The Met Office says slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may lead to some disruption.

It adds: “There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray and standing water, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.

“There is a small chance of short-term loss of power and other services and damage to a few buildings or structures from lightning strikes.

“Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, as well as delays to train services.”

It is thought 20-25mm of rain could fall in less than an hour, with a chance of 30-40mm falling in one to two hours.

It comes after four different Met Office storm warnings covering Kent in less than a week.

On Monday, rain overnight and more in the afternoon led to flooding in the Canterbury area.

It caused disruption on roads and forced some shops to shut.
