If you’re looking for a gaming PC on a budget and are located in the UK, the Horizon gaming PC on CCL is worth checking out. The original price of this prebuilt gaming PC is £1,299.98, but after a price cut of £299, it’ll only set you back by £999.99. Ryzen 7 5700X

The Ryzen 7 5700X is the mid-range processor from the Ryzen 5000 family. We’ve also tested and reviewed it in-house. We coupled it with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and ran our standard suite of tests. In gaming, we ran Cyberpunk 2077 and Days Gone at 1080p on low settings, as both are graphically demanding titles to run.

We got 296 and 196 FPS, respectively, which is pretty good. On the other hand, the single- and multi-core performance in the Cinebench R23 test came out with 1,554 and 13,276 points, respectively. What this shows is that it could easily keep up with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and also has decent productivity.

RTX 5060 Ti

It isn’t clear which RTX 5060 Ti is part of the gaming PC, but to showcase what it is capable of, we’ll leverage the findings of the ASUS Prime RTX 5060 Ti OC that we’ve reviewed. This GPU in Cyberpunk 2077 managed 34 FPS, but in other titles like AC Mirage and Indian Jones and the Great Circle, it delivered 58 and 56 FPS, respectively.

While it didn’t touch 60 FPS, even this performance is amazing given that this is a budget GPU and it is natively churning out these numbers at UHD. However, DLSS 4 and MFG came in clutch as when we turned ray tracing to overdrive mode, the FPS dropped to 7, but by leveraging these upscaling technologies, it increased to 89 FPS, which is a 170% performance increase.

Other hardware

Serving as the foundation, there is a B550 motherboard, and it has a 2TB NVMe SSD and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. To ensure that the entire setup is adequately powered, a 650W Bronze PSU is installed, which should be more than enough for the 5700X and the 5060 Ti.

Is this PC worth it?

If you’re operating with a strict spending limit, then this PC should prove to be a good option. However, we would also recommend checking out other options, as you might find a gaming PC that has an AM5 processor, which would open up more opportunities for future upgrades, but it might cost you a bit more. The trade-off should be worth it.
