Two retro games from the Silent Hill franchise could be making a comeback thanks to fans. But beware, nothing is official yet, and we’ll have to wait a while before we can potentially play them again.

Silent Hill is a license that is highly appreciated by gamers around the world. And while the remake of Silent Hill 2 and the upcoming release of Silent Hill f are sure to please fans, two major new developments could be on the horizon, both involving retro games.

For this, we need to look to GOG (Good Old Game), a platform similar to Steam that offers players a comprehensive catalog. But that’s not all, as it also offers complete control over the game library, whether recent or old.

Today, the first two Silent Hill games are not available for sale on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series, even though demand is skyrocketing. These titles have had a significant impact on the history of video games, and some fans want to immerse themselves once again in these unique worlds that both fascinated and frightened them.

But thanks to GOG, this dream could well become a reality. A video was recently published on YouTube highlighting the horror franchise Silent Hill. And that’s not all, because the GOG Dreamlist program is also worth considering.

If you don’t know what it is, it’s a program that invites players to suggest games they would like to see added to the site’s catalog. It’s worth noting that there is also a voting system, allowing certain choices to be promoted over others.

By promoting this license, many fans have made their voices heard, with the first reaching 95,000 votes and the second approaching 96,000 votes. In other words, these two games could soon be appearing on GOG in the not-too-distant future.

This is all the more striking and promising when you consider that they are currently surpassed by only two games: Digimond World with 107,000 votes and Black & White with 106,000 votes. However, we will have to wait for official announcements before claiming victory, but the road seems to be clear for the return of these two retro games.
