Heung-min Son is not ruling out an interesting January compromise with Tottenham

Heung-min Son’s future remains uncertain despite signs of short-term commitment, as suggestions grow that he could still leave Tottenham Hotspur.

At the early stages of the summer transfer window, reports suggested that Tottenham Hotspur captain, Heung-min Son, could be sold this summer.

However, it was claimed that Spurs were not looking to force their club legend out the door, and if the Korean star were to leave, it would be on his terms.

Spurs fans were quick to voice their opinions regarding Son’s exit links, with many urging Tottenham to sell the club legend and cash in on him.

Heung-min Son open to staying at Tottenham until January

The Telegraph have now reinforced claims that Heung-min Son is happy to remain at Tottenham for one more season. The report states ‘there have been suggestions’ that the club captain is happy to stay in N17 until at least January.

This fresh detail comes after earlier reports over the past few weeks revealed Tottenham have informed Son that they won’t stand in the way of an exit if a suitable offer arrives.

It is understood that following Tottenham’s Europa League win last season, Son left his team-mates and the Lilywhites’ staff under the impression that he was ready to leave Tottenham this summer; however, based on the latest report, things are still very much up in the air.

One would assume that Son would find it very hard to leave Tottenham if they were competing well in the cup competitions come January, though. After all, what’s better than leaving on the back of a trophy… leaving on the back of two!

Son is attracting global interest amid Spurs exit rumours

Interest in Son this summer has been plentiful, with clubs across the globe looking to sign the 33-year-old from his beloved Tottenham Hotspur.

It was claimed that Jose Mourinho’s side, Fenerbahce, were keeping tabs on Son, with Mourinho reportedly interested in reuniting with the Korean international.

Clubs in the Middle East have also shown interest in Son, with Al Ahli, Al Nassr and Al Qadsiah all keen on signing Heung-min Son.

New Spurs boss Thomas Frank was recently asked about the future of Son, and he did not provide any reassurances that the club captain is guaranteed to remain in N17 this summer.
