Clive Barker Returns To Video Games With Hellraiser: Revival

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games are teaming up with horror legend Clive Barker to bring Hellraiser to the realm of video games for the first time.

Announced via press release, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will be a brand-new, first-person, single-player, survival horror action game set in the terrifying universe of one of the most iconic horror franchises. Players will face off against the legendary Pinhead, with Doug Bradley reprising his role for the first time in over 20 years.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival focuses on Aidan, who must unlock the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration to save his girlfriend from a hellish abyss. Players will harness the box’s infernal abilities to survive their pact with the sinister Pinhead and battle against the twisted cult that worships him and the Cenobites.

“Working on the first true Hellraiser game has been a venture deep into the recesses of my darkest imaginings,” said Barker, adding, “the dedication that Saber and Boss Team Games have shown is nothing short of remarkable. They’ve immersed themselves in the Hellraiser universe, capturing its essence…and forged a narrative that invites players to step beyond the threshold.”

Adding to this sentiment, CEO and co-founder of Saber Interactive Matthew Karch said, “Hellraiser is the quintessential horror franchise, and lends itself perfectly to a video game. Saber has had success with horror IPs in the past, and working alongside Clive to create tense gameplay and a new story that delves into the twisted depths of pain and pleasure has been a real treat. We look forward to opening up the gates of hell.”

Saber Interactive is best known for its work developing and publishing games in iconic horror franchises like World War Z, Evil Dead: The Game and Jurassic Park: Survival. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is available to wishlist today on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
