Nvidia is giving away a high-end ROG Strix Scar 16 gaming laptop from Asus. It features an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5080 laptop GPU and a 16-inch 240 Hz mini-LED screen.
Nvidia’s latest giveaway is finally here. This time, instead of a GPU, you get an entire gaming laptop-a pretty powerful one, too. One lucky gamer (and their friend) can win a high-end ROG Strix Scar 16 from Asus. To enter, follow the instructions on this X post from Nvidia.
Usually, Nvidia follows up giveaway posts with Terms and Conditions, but this time, they are missing. Hence, there’s no way to know if you’re eligible for the giveaway, many of which are often available only in a handful of countries. There doesn’t seem to be a cut-off date, either, so it’s best if you participate soon.
The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 in question is powered by Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU. Unfortunately, its other specifications aren’t mentioned, but a cursory glance at Asus’ website reveals that it is paired with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, a 16-inch 2.5K mini-LED panel clocked at 240 Hz, 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, and 2x 2TB NVMe SSDs in RAID 0.
Our review of the ROG Strix Scar 16 with a slightly different configuration (RTX 5090 GPU instead of an RTX 5080) praised it for its vivid OLED panel, stellar gaming performance and easy access to its innards. However, the laptop can get incredibly loud under load, and that will likely persist across different SKUs.
