Prague, July 22nd, 2025 – Bohemia Interactive and Enjoy Studio are back with Devlog #4 for Everwind, the open-world co-op survival RPG that is building momentum with nearly three hundred thousand Steam wishlists. The new update dives into core features like multiplayer, building tools, new biomes, and performance improvements. Also, after last year’s positive feedback, members of the press will get an improved hands-on, exclusive behind-closed-doors demo of Everwind at Gamescom 2025.

From immersive multiplayer and expressive emotes to interesting new biomes and building tools, this update dives deep into how Everwind is evolving into a rich, player-driven survival RPG experience. Whether assembling a dream airship with friends, braving undead-infested swamps, or testing out new weapon types, Devlog #4 shows how much bigger and smarter the skies of Everwind are becoming.

What’s New in Devlog #4

Multiplayer System

Everwind’s peer-to-peer multiplayer supports up to four players, which enables collaborative base-building, shared exploration, and synchronized world states. Players can easily join a host’s world using an invitation code and set out on an adventure together to make the session feel truly special.

New Biomes

The world of Everwind expands with four new biomes: Swamp, savanna, deciduous forest, and rotten forest. Each biome features its own sky, fog, and water color to create distinct moods and atmospheres.

Building System

Players can snap together a wide variety of shapes using a streamlined shape wheel, with decorative elements like furniture, fences, and lighting available for customization. A dedicated Sandbox Mode offers unlimited resources and instant construction controls.

New Weapons

Two weapon types are highlighted:

  • Spear: A versatile one-handed polearm ideal for precise thrusts and shield pairing.

  • Mechanical Weapons: Specially engineered arms with unique visuals, animations, and on-hit electrical effects.

Day & Night Cycle

Time of day affects visibility and strategy, with night exploration requiring light sources and caution.

Intel XeSS 2.0 & Frame Generation

Thanks to integration with Intel’s XeSS 2.0, Everwind now supports advanced AI upscaling and frame generation, which provide smoother gameplay and significant FPS gains.

Everwind at Gamescom

Following a strong reception at last year’s show, Everwind returns to Cologne with a brand-new press-only playable demo designed exclusively for Gamescom 2025. The hands-on experience showcases refined combat, exploration, and modular ship-building, along with the opportunity to speak directly with the developers about what’s next.

SpaceTail Joins Bohemia Incubator

In related news, SpaceTail: Every Journey Leads Home, the emotional platformer developed by the team behind Everwind, will be re-released under the Bohemia Incubator. Originally launched in 2022, the game puts players in the paws of an astronaut dog on an emotional journey through space, while offering exploration of alien planets, a unique dialogue system for interacting with extraterrestrials, and a mix of agility challenges and logic-based puzzles intertwined with heartfelt narrative.
