Tottenham Hotspur will face former players in their next four pre-season fixtures

Tottenham are set for a string of pre-season friendlies that will see them play against familiar faces, with four of their former players lining up for the opposition.

Tottenham Hotspur have got their first pre-season game out of the way, after they beat Reading 2-0 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Goals from Luka Vuskovic and Will Lankshear were enough for Thomas Frank and his coaching staff, as they secured a first win and a clean sheet in their first game in charge of Tottenham.

Spurs still have four more pre-season games to play before their first big test against Paris Saint-Germain on 13 August, in the final of the UEFA Super Cup in Udine, Italy.

Spurs to face former players in Luton, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bayern games

Up next for Tottenham on their pre-season schedule is a trip to Luton Town this weekend on 26 July, before they take on Arsenal and Newcastle in Asia, and then Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Interestingly, the remainder of Spurs’ pre-season clashes is set to see the north London club come up against a few of their former players.

In the clash against Luton Town, Tottenham Hotspur will be coming up against Josh Keeley, who only just secured a move to the League One side after Spurs agreed a £1 million deal with Luton, as well as a sell-on clause.

Tottenham to reunite with Harry Kane in pre-season clash

Right after the clash against Luton Town, in the first north London derby outside of England, set to take place in Hong Kong, China, Tottenham have confirmed they will face Arsenal in their pre-season tour of Asia.

This will see the Lilywhites come up against academy graduate Noni Madueke. The Englishman only just secured a move from Chelsea to Arsenal, becoming the 11th player to make such a switch.

However, while 11 transfers is a lot between the Blues and the Gunners, Tottenham still hold the record for the most players transferred between two clubs.

Finally, Spurs will wrap up their pre-season friendlies with a clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, in what would be the second time the two sides will face each other since Kane’s transfer to the Bavarian giants.

Kane would face Tottenham this time as a player who has won a piece of silverware, while Spurs go into the clash as champions of Europe, having won the Europa League.
