According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham Hotspur have substantially dropped their asking price for one attacking player, who is now in the final year of his contract in North London.
Several Tottenham players are now in the final years of their contracts, and unsurprisingly, they have been the subject of heavy transfer speculation this summer.
One of those is Bryan Gil, who appears destined to depart Tottenham this summer after several loan spells away from North London over the last few years.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Girona, who did not activate their €15m (£12.5m) option to buy Gil, which has now expired.
Tottenham ready to accept a cut-price fee for Bryan Gil
It emerged a couple of days ago that Gil has offered himself to Celta Vigo, who are seeking reinforcements on the flanks.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now said on the Last Word on Spurs podcast that Celta Vigo are indeed interested in the Spain international, but they are not the only ones.
He reveals that multiple clubs from Turkey, including Beşiktaş, have shown an interest in Gil. Jacobs adds that Spurs are ready to accept less than £10m for the winger.
Other La Liga sides are also monitoring Gil
It was reported a few weeks ago that Girona have not completely ruled out a permanent deal for Gil, although the finances of the operation will be a problem for the side.
The same update claimed that Valencia are also considering taking the Tottenham Hotspur man to the Mestalla as they aim to add more firepower to their attack.
Some sources suggested earlier this summer that Gil is wanted by Saudi Pro League clubs, who may be prepared to blow the Spanish clubs out of the water with ‘dizzying offers’, but no bid seems to have arrived from the Middle East for the former Sevilla man thus far.
