Leeds United have made the first move to sign a Brazilian wide-forward, who Tottenham have kept a close eye on over the last few months.
Tottenham Hotspur have already added plenty of firepower to their attack this summer, completing a permanent deal for Mathys Tel and securing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
Before the start of the summer window, it was reported that Spurs were one of four clubs plotting a summer move for Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao, who scored 18 goals and provided 19 assists in all competitions in De Kuip last season.
The 25-year-old hit the limelight with his impressive displays in the Champions League, scoring twice and providing five assists in the competition, and tearing Kyle Walker to shreds in Feyenoord’s win over AC Milan in February.
Leeds United have made a move for Tottenham target Igor Paixao
It is unclear if Tottenham ever seriously considered making a move for the Brazilian this summer, but we might see him in the Premier League next season.
Journalist Graham Smyth has now taken to social media to reveal that Leeds United have now spoken to Paixao’s representatives over a possible switch to Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s men are awaiting a response from the forward after presenting their project to him, but they face competition from Marseille, who also want the Feyenoord man.
Feyenoord’s Brazilian winger Igor Paixão is one of the left wingers whose representatives Leeds United have spoken to about a possible transfer move.
Understand they presented the project to his camp this week.
He’s reportedly also a target for Marseille.#lufc

What are Spurs’ transfer priorities for the rest of the summer?
Even though Kudus and Tel have arrived through the door, it has still been reported that Spurs are interested in signing another forward, as well as a number six and a centre-back.
In fact, multiple reports claim that Tottenham will prioritise signing a top-class number six once they get the Morgan Gibbs-White deal over the line.
Some sources are also backing Spurs to launch a move for Yoane Wissa, although, according to recent updates, the Lilywhites are expected to face competition for the Brentford star.
