Tottenham battle three Premier League rivals for midfielder compared to Declan Rice

Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs plotting a move for a highly-rated Swiss international, who has been the subject of multiple offers from AC Milan this summer.

Over the last week, Spurs Web has relayed a number of reports stating that signing a new number six is a priority for Tottenham this summer.

The likes of Douglas Luiz, Adam Wharton and Joao Palhinha are rumoured to be on Spurs’ radar as the Lilywhites look to upgrade on Yves Bissouma, who is not in Thomas Frank’s plans.

It has now emerged that Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to a 22-year-old who has been turning a lot of heads with his performances in Belgian football.

Tottenham are eyeing a move for Ardon Jashari

This update comes from TBR Football, who claim that Tottenham are now keeping close tabs on Club Brugge starlet Ardon Jashari after AC Milan launched a couple of offers for the player.

The outlet says that many talent spotters are of the opinion that the 22-year-old is one of the best defensive midfield talents in Europe, with some even likening him to Declan Rice.

However, Spurs are not the only side interested in Jashari, with Nottingham Forest, Everton and West Ham United also monitoring his situation.

The report claims that Arsenal and Manchester City also scouted the Switzerland international extensively last season, but it is not made clear if either club is considering a move for the player this summer.

AC Milan give up on Jashari as Club Brugge remain resolute

TBR Football say that Milan have launched two offers for the midfielder, the largest of which was worth £32m.

Jashari was keen to make a move to the San Siro and even protested by refusing to turn up for pre-season, but he has now returned to the club.

The outlet claims that Milan are now ready to give up on the youngster and turn their attention to other alternatives, but Brugge remain resolute about not wanting to lose their star man this summer.

Last week, the Belgian club’s sporting director Devy Rigaux told Het Laatste Nieuws: “We believe that Ardon’s cycle has not yet been completed at the club. We are convinced that Ardon will make a top transfer, but only at a time when it is right for everyone.”
