June 2025 gaming revenue totaled $544.7M, up 15.4% from 2024

Pennsylvania gaming revenue rose 15.4% in June 2025 to $544.7M, driven by internet gaming and sports betting, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported Thursday.Â
Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (VGTs). Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $229,758,408* during June 2025.Â
Revenue from the play of retail slot machines in June 2025 was $199,274,153, a 0.85% decrease in revenue when compared to the $200,973,707 generated in June 2024. The number of slot machines in operation in June 2025 was 24,349 compared to 24,731 at the casinos in June 2024. Tax revenue from the slot machines in June 2025 was $100,819,317.Â
June’s retail table games revenue was $77,279,749, an increase of 1.58% from the June 2024 revenue of $76,074,660. Total tax revenue from table games play during June 2025 was $12,947,263.Â
Casino games offered online generated monthly gross revenue totaling $212,565,051 during June 2025 compared to $160,631,380 in June 2024, an increase of 32.33%. Tax revenue generated from internet gaming play during June 2025 was $95,652,857.Â
Total sports wagering handle for June 2025 was $483,637,356 4.11% above the June 2024 total of $464,534,792. Taxable revenue figure for June 2025 was $51,236,554, 71.40% higher when compared to June 2024, when taxable revenue was $29,893,121. June 2025 tax revenue generated from sports wagering was $18,445,159.Â
The June 2025 total adjusted revenue for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,368,257, 2.20% lower than June 2024 when revenue was $3,443,964. All VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at 74 establishments at this time last year. Tax revenue collected from the play of VGTs in June 2025 was $1,751,494.Â
Fantasy Contests revenue was $948,790 in June 2025, a decrease of 1.84% from the June 2024 revenue of $966,589. Tax revenue collected from the Fantasy Contests play in June 2025 was $142,319.Â
The PGCB is tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and VGTs at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests. Â
The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4).
