Nina Denisova, 39, was found by the emergency services at a house in Henderson Drive, Dartford, shortly before 7am on Saturday, August 17.

Juska stabbed Nina, who was a friend of the family, repeatedly while she was sleeping and the Lithuanian national died at the scene.

The defendant, of Henderson Drive, was arrested that same day and faced charges of murder and sexual penetration of a corpse.

He later told police he had decided to kill someone, but claimed he did not know why.

He then left the family home and walked to a nearby bus stop, where he asked a member of the public to call the police, stating he had just killed someone.

Will Bodiam from the Crown Prosecution Service said: “The Crown Prosecution Service worked closely with Kent Police to build the strongest possible case, with this joint work resulting in today’s guilty plea from Juska to the charges against him.

“For unimaginable reasons, he carried out a violent and sustained attack on a woman he knew. Today, he has had no option but to plead guilty to this horrendous act.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Nina at this exceptionally difficult time.”

At the time of the alleged murder, the new MP for Dartford, Jim Dickson issued a statement saying: “My thoughts are with the victim and all those affected by this morning’s tragic incident in Temple Hill.

“I would like to thank the police for their swift response and encourage anyone with relevant information to contact them.”

Following the incident, Henderson Drive was taped off between the junctions with Marsh Street and Cavell Crescent while officers carried out their inquiries.
