West Ham have entered the race to sign a former Tottenham player, with Premier League, Serie A and Saudi clubs all circling the free agent.
Ahead of the start of the 2025 summer window, it was reported that Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with a few of their former stars.
Goalkeepers Alfie Whiteman and Fraser Forster, as well as Timo Werner and Sergio Reguilon, all left N17 for free following the expiration of their contracts.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is the only player Spurs have actually sold for a fee this summer window, having offloaded the Danish midfielder for £17 million to Marseille.
Serie A sides monitor Sergio Reguilon’s transfer situation
With Sergio Reguilon now a free agent, after his contract at Tottenham ran down, CaughtOffside are now reporting that the Spanish full-back is attracting interest from a host of clubs.
It is understood that Reguilon has already been offered to Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan, as the former Spurs man searches for a new club.
AC Milan, in particular, are reported to need a left-back after parting ways with Theo Hernandez, who was sold to Al-Hilal; however, the Rossoneri are now said to be considering a younger option in the left-back spot.
While Reguilon remains an option, it is claimed that internal discussions at Milan have seen other options come to the fore, including Fran Garcia of Real Madrid, Emerson Palmieri from West Ham United, and Fiorentina’s Fabiano Parisi.
Still, both Serie A sides are understood to have explored the opportunity to sign the former Spurs man, who featured just six times last season.
Tottenham could face Sergio Reguilon this season as West Ham show interest
The 28-year-old free agent is also reportedly attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League, who are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
It has been revealed by the publication that Bournemouth, Everton and West Ham United are the English sides monitoring Reguilon, while West Ham are understood to be the most enthusiastic of the three.
Meanwhile, interest in Reguilon also comes from Saudi Arabian clubs, who have expressed an intent to sign him.
Reguilon’s Premier League experience and pedigree are said to have caught the attention of West Ham, while other clubs see the potential of signing an international player without having to pay a transfer fee.
