Epic Games Store has made July 2025’s penultimate free game for PC available to claim. It’s Sid Meier’s Civilization VI Platinum Edition, which is worth $80. As for the final giveaway for the month, as the leak from MeguminShiro has revealed, it’s Legion TD 2.
This final game giveaway for the month is worth $24.99, and it’s well-received by the players who have tried it. More specifically, Legion TD 2 currently has an 86% positive rating on Steam, which is based on over 11 thousand reviews.
For those who aren’t familiar with the game, this soon-to-be free game on Epic Games Store is a strategic tower defense title with both competitive and co-op elements. It’s inspired by the original Legion TD mods, but compared to the mods, it has a refined gameplay.
The core gameplay mostly revolves around protecting the team’s king from endless waves of enemies while attacking the defenses of the opponents. In between the rounds, players can spend in-game currency to deploy fighters, and there are over 100 different variations in between them. Each has specialized traits and abilities, which is basically where the strategy part of the game comes in.
Legion TD 2 has both campaign and multiplayer modes, with the latter offering 2v2 and 4v4 matchmakings. As for the former, it provides around 20 hours of gameplay, and when playing the campaign mode, players can go solo or with a co-op squad consisting of up to 4 teammates.
For newbies, Legion TD 2 has a dedicated tutorial, and new players can get a better idea of the game by playing against AI, which also features varying difficulties. You can learn more about this upcoming Epic Games Store free game from the video attached below.
