Man United outcast Alejandro Garnacho caught driving into training illegally in top of the range Audi – as he’s forced to train with ‘bomb squad’ AFTER manager Ruben Amorim leaves

A Manchester United player was spotted turning up to training at Carrington in a car that is untaxed, according to the UK Government‘s website.

The player in question is among a group of stars seemingly destined for the exit door after failing to find a place in Ruben Amorim‘s future plans, and was in fact set to train away from the main squad.

Moreover, the player in fact turned up to training after Amorim had left, and has been linked consistently with a move away this summer.

However Alejandro Garnacho‘s arrival at training in a grey Audi has revealed that his vehicle is in fact untaxed, and therefore illegal to drive.

The UK Government’s MOT registry shows that tax has not been paid for the car, claiming that tax was due to be paid on October 1, 2024.

The law states that any car, used or unused, that is being kept on public roads must be taxed and insured. So if, for example, the car is being kept in a garage and not driven, there is no need to pay tax on it, however that is clearly not the case.

Garnacho’s future appears to lie away from Man United with the forward linked with an exit

The penalty for driving a car untaxed on a public road without a SORN – for cars registered as ‘off the roads’ – an out of court settlement may be issued, with a fine of £30 plus one-and-half times the outstanding tax amount, according to the RAC.

If not the amount is not paid, it may escalate to a criminal offence and could be followed through the magistrates’ court, where a penalty is either £1,000 or five times the amount of tax chargeable, whichever is a greater fee.

Garnacho’s arrival at training comes at a time when his future as clouded in uncertainty.

He joined Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia in being given extra time away from the training ground to explore moves away from Old Trafford when the rest of the squad returned for pre-season last week.

Rashford took up the option to use the facilities at Carrington as long as he wasn’t there at the same time as Amorim and the squad.

This was described as a co-ordinated return that saw him enter the complex within minutes of the United boss leaving.

The England forward came into work with the club’s fitness staff on several occasions last week, and was joined by Garnacho on Thursday when only the Under-10s team were at Carrington.

All five outcasts have now been told that they are expected to turn up at the training ground this week.

Rashford and Sancho have been linked with loan moves to Barcelona and Juventus respectively, while United are hoping to sell Garnacho who would generate maximum profit under financial fair play rules.

The Argentinian international recently rejected a move to join Saudi side Al-Nassr, while Serie A outfit are known to be interested.

However, it is understood that Garnacho’s preference is to remain in the Premier League.

Antony wants to rejoin Real Betis after spending the second half of last season on loan at the Spanish club, and Malacia is available following a spell at PSV Eindhoven.
