Loungers has opened another Kent bar today inside a former Prezzo restaurant.
The firm launched Forno Lounge in Albion Street, Broadstairs, after the Italian chain shut branches across the county as a result of rising costs.

It is open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks, including full children’s, gluten-free, and vegan menus.
Speaking ahead of the opening, Loungers’ head of community John English said: “We can’t wait to finally open the doors to Forno Lounge and meet the locals.
“Our lounges strive to put community at the heart of hospitality and our teams always go the extra mile to make a difference.
“They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations, and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming local residents to Forno Lounge.”

The all-day menu will feature everything from breakfast, tapas and salads to burgers and buttermilk fried chicken, with those needing special dietary requirements also catered for.
Prezzo fell into administration in late 2020 after the heavy impact of the pandemic, before being snapped up by current private equity owners Cain International.
But in 2023, it was reported sites in Tenterden, Whitstable, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone would close after being hit by rising costs.
The restaurant in Broadstairs has since closed, while its Canterbury branch remains open.
Meanwhile, Loungers opened the Calvero Lounge on the ground floor of the Embassy Building in Tenterden High Street in January.

It opened another bar in the county at Chatham Dockside in May.
The chain has branches in Ramsgate, Faversham, Deal, Westwood Cross, Bromley and Sittingbourne.
The firm also owns the Cosy Club brand, which has an outlet in Canterbury.
