They could now be set for a reunion as Villa look to finally replace Jhon Duran.
The Colombian completed a move to Al Nassr at the end of the January transfer window, with the deal occurring too late for a new striker to be brought in.

Meanwhile, Jackson did not make a start after Chelsea’s tournament opener, playing just 30 minutes in the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, Villa are keen on current Red Devils star Garnacho in another potential addition to their attack.
The 21-year-old previously fuelled links to Villa after sharing a snap to social media wearing the club’s shirt with Marcus Rashford’s name on it.
Garnacho is understood to have asked to leave Old Trafford this summer.
After five years with United, the Argentinian could now be allowed to leave by Ruben Amorim.
It comes despite 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions last season.
