When Thomas Frank will hold his first Tottenham press conference amid Morgan Gibbs-White drama

Tottenham fans will not have to wait much longer to hear directly from Thomas Frank, as his first press conference as Spurs manager has now been confirmed.

Having just been appointed as the new Tottenham Hotspur boss on 12 June, following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou, who delivered Spurs’ first trophy in close to two decades, Frank’s time has not been short of drama.

The Danish manager has since been shaping up his new squad this summer ahead of what is set to be a hectic season where Tottenham will be competing on multiple fronts, including the UEFA Champions League.

Mohammed Kudus has since been signed to bolster Tottenham’s attack, while Kota Takai and Mathys Tel count as the two other signings made under Frank.

Thomas Frank to hold first Tottenham press conference on Friday

It could very well have been four signings under the Dane by now, as Morgan Gibbs-White had a medical booked after his release clause was paid by Spurs, only for Nottingham Forest to take legal action against Tottenham.

As it stands, Spurs are having to be patient with the Gibbs-White situation. They are confident it will be resolved, and that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man will eventually become a Tottenham player.

Undoubtedly, Tottenham fans are eager to see a few of their new signings and the rest of the team take to the pitch for the first time under Thomas Frank.

That wait is almost over, as Spurs are now expected to play Reading on 19 July at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Reading, in what will be their first pre-season friendly clash.

It has now been revealed by football.london that Tottenham supporters will hear from Thomas Frank for the first time in his first press conference as Spurs boss, on Friday 18 July, a day before the Reading kickoff.

It seems certain that Frank will be asked about the Gibbs-White situation in his first Tottenham press conference.

Spurs summer schedule offers chance to build momentum

Following the Reading clash, Tottenham have four other pre-season friendlies scheduled, which will allow Frank ample time with his squad before the start of the new season.

Tottenham still have Luton Town, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Bayern Munich to face this summer, before their first competitive match against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup.

Of course, the new Spurs boss will be looking at the Super Cup final as a prime opportunity to set the tone for what he hopes will be a trophy-laden spell at Tottenham Hotspur.
