For a film property as famous as the John Wick franchise, it’s baffling that there are not a lot of games based on the IP. Since the film series exploded in popularity, only one has been released on consoles and PC.
That lone game, titled John Wick Hex, is now set to be scrubbed from existence — just like Wick’s targets.
John Wick Hex Set To Be Removed From All Storefronts This Week

Publisher Big Fan Games announced over on the game’s Steam page where they said, “After July 17th, 2025, existing owners of John Wick Hex will still be able to access the game via their digital libraries (PC/Console) and/or physical copies (Console), however new purchases of John Wick Hex will not be possibe, regardless of platform or storefront.”
Although no explanation is given, this is likely related to licensing rights and the publisher’s expiration of their rights to the game. This isn’t anything new, and it seems like the most plausible explanation. For now, gamers can jump in the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Steam and buy it before it gets removed permanently later this week.
John Wick Hex was released in 2020, and while it may not have set the video game retail charts on fire, it was a solid game, albeit perhaps one that didn’t meet the expectations of fans of the films. Instead of being a shooter, John Wick Hex leans more on strategy and real-time tactics than unhinged action and violence.

If you’re considering getting John Wick Hex, it’s a solid game, as it has a “Strong” rating on Open Critic. Perhaps it might be best to check out our review of it first before deciding, though it’s worth pointing out that we liked our time with the game and even said, “John Wick Hex is a great game, plain and simple. The gameplay is incredibly tight, fluid, and fast-paced, while still being slow and methodical like a strategy game.”
