A huge tree has collapsed in the middle of an A-road and is causing traffic problems.
Concerned residents say it is “lucky nobody was killed” after the 30ft oak was blown over this evening.

Pictures show the tree sprawled across one lane of the A2018 Shepherds Lane in Dartford.
Kent County Council (KCC) maintenance teams were called to the carriageway, where they were spotted attempting to break down the 30ft tree and clear the route.
It is not having an effect on traffic, but the sudden nature of the fall has left some residents concerned – though grateful nobody was hurt.
“Lucky nobody was killed”, said one person, while another quipped: “Need to get to the root of that.”
KCC has been contacted for comment.
