Funcom looks to spice things up for Dune: Awakening players, as the studio has announced a new contest where players can earn prizes.
The contest is called “Build Your Dune,” and as the name implies, this is a building contest where fabulous player creations will amount to more than just in-game flair.

The contest begins today, July 14, and will run through July 28, 2025, at 6 p.m. EST. Any entries submitted after that day and time won’t be judged. The winners will be announced on August 8, 2025.
Dune: Awakening Base Building Info On Rewards And How It Works
The image above is an example of a CHOAM building created by a Funcom developer, which should give players an idea what the studio is looking for.
According to Funcom, for the contest, they want players to build something that “screams fealty for Atreides, devotion to Harkonnen, or allegiance to none with CHOAM. Your creation can be a fortress, resting place, or any type of building so long as it fits the theme of your chosen faction.” Players can mix and match building pieces and decorations, so this means using CHOAM pieces in an Atreides themed building and whantot.
Criteria for judging will be based on “creativity, originality, and how well it fits the theme.” The Funcom developers will only judge the building exterior.

(3) First Place winners – One for the best Atreides build, one for the best Harkonnen build, and one for the best CHOAM (any neutral pieces) build. The winning first place entries will receive a LEGO Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter!
(6) Runner Ups – Two for runner ups for Atreides, two for Harkonnen, and two for CHOAM. These winners will be awarded the Dune: Awakening Collector’s box from Madrinas.
There will also be “Honorable mention” awardees, and there’s no specific number for that in each category. If the developers think your entry stood out, you’ll be part of that list and will receive an exclusive in-game reward in the form of the Atreides Battle Rifle that players can bind to their Steam account (First place and runner ups will also receive this in-game item).

Funcom is also working with the creator of Pimp My Dune, so that players can submit there too. Don’t forget to use the “Building Contest” tag when you submit your creation.

If you are making a video showing off your building, make sure you have good lighting (especially if you decide to capture it during night) and that the building can be properly seen.
