In a recent post on Reddit, KingGio21 stated that, if Blade turns out to be another Duelist in Marvel Rivals, they won’t want to see another DPS-focused character added to the game for the next two seasons. Many people seemed to agree, stating that Duelists far outnumber both Vanguards and Strategists. As of writing, NetEase Games hasn’t revealed which heroes will be introduced in upcoming seasons.
Marvel Rivals Players Want More Vanguards and Strategists
While many people have enjoyed the addition of Phoenix to the game’s roster, some people are unhappy with how powerful she has made Marvel Rivals‘ Wolverine in Season 3. Wolverine, who is also a Duelist, has a team-up with Phoenix called Primal Flame. When the two characters are on the same team, Wolverine has the chance to make his Feral Leap ability even more powerful than usual. When using the attack, Wolverine becomes covered in flames, dealing damage to any enemies near him. He also gains lifesteal, making him more durable than ever. Many Vanguard characters have complained that Wolverine feels completely unbalanced when paired with Phoenix, as he deals even more damage to tanks than before.
Recent leaks have suggested that Blade will be a Duelist in Marvel Rivals, which means both heroes added during Season 3 will have a strong focus on DPS. A new roadmap revealed by NetEase Games showed that Marvel Rivals‘ major Season 3.5 update, which will add Blade to the popular hero shooter, is scheduled to arrive on August 8. Despite some issues with the number of Duelists in the game, a lot of people are excited to see Blade make his debut. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
