Tuesday, July 22 will see the release of Abiotic Factor on the Ultimate and PC tiers of Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass subscribers are treated to new games on a regular basis, with July 2025 having its fair share of exciting titles for fans to check out.
In July 2025 so far, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been treated to Little Nightmares 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana, Ultimate Chicken Horse, The Ascent, Minami Lane, and, most recently, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. On July 15, High on Life will be returning to Xbox Game Pass, and then, on July 22, subscribers can look forward to playing Abiotic Factor.

Microsoft’s gaming subscription service continues to offer great value for money with the addition of two more titles to the Xbox Game Pass catalog.
For those who may not be familiar with the game, Abiotic Factor is a co-op survival game with vibes similar to the original Half-Life. In it, players take on supernatural threats with their friends as they explore an underground complex connected to various realms. Abiotic Factor has been a smash hit on Steam since its early access debut last year, earning “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on the platform. Abiotic Factor seems like the perfect fit for Xbox Game Pass with its co-op focus, with up to six players able to team up and take on the game’s bizarre threats together.
When is Abiotic Factor Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Notably, Abiotic Factor marks yet another game that is debuting on Xbox Game Pass at the same time as PS Plus. Abiotic Factor will join PS Plus Extra on the same day that it hits Xbox Game Pass, following in the footsteps of games like Sea of Stars, Blue Prince, and most recently, FBC: Firebreak. It will be interesting to see how often this happens in the future, especially since it’s rare for PS Plus Extra to get day one releases.
As far as Xbox Game Pass goes, there are still more games to look forward to in July 2025. While more are likely to be announced, Wheel World will be added to Xbox Game Pass on July 23, while Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is coming on July 24. Grounded 2, meanwhile, will be available to play through Game Pass on July 29. The Xbox Game Pass August 2025 lineup is a little bare at the time of this writing, with the enhanced edition of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 scheduled for August 12 and Gears of War: Reloaded on deck for August 26.
