Tottenham might be concerned by Graham Potter’s feelings on Mohammed Kudus

A new report has shed light on what Graham Potter thought of Mohammed Kudus and his lack of effectiveness in one position, which may interest Tottenham fans and Thomas Frank.

Spurs supporters are over the moon with the deal to sign the Ghanaian, not least because West Ham fans are apocalyptic at their club’s decision to sell Kudus to Tottenham.

In his first interview as a Tottenham player, Kudus admitted that it was the size and history of Spurs that attracted him to the club.

Many fans will be expecting the 24-year-old to be used as a wide option by Thomas Frank, particularly given that Morgan Gibbs-White is expected to arrive at Tottenham if Spurs can get over Nottingham Forest’s legal complaints over the deal.

Graham Potter thinks Mohammed Kudus is not capable of playing in one position

The new Tottenham man has played as a number ten and on either flank for club and country over his career, but he has a clear preference.

During his time at West Ham, Kudus made it clear multiple times that he prefers playing centrally, rather than out wide, so that he can affect games more.

The Guardian have now revealed that Graham Potter came to an interesting conclusion about the 24-year-old over the last few months.

According to the outlet, the West Ham boss does not believe Kudus is capable of playing centrally in the Premier League, despite the player’s assertion that he is at his best as a number ten.

Where will Kudus line up in Thomas Frank’s set-up?

We know that Frank likes to employ a dynamic attacking set-up, with attackers often interchanging positions.

There is no doubt that he would have spoken to the Ghanaian before his move to Tottenham, and the former Hammers man would not have greenlit the move unless he was convinced by the Dane’s vision.

According to some sources, some figures at Spurs believe Frank could turn Kudus into a ‘world star’, which indicates that the 51-year-old has a clear idea of how to get the best out of the new Tottenham signing.
