Motorists are facing long delays in sweltering heat after an incident on a motorway.
Two lanes on the approach to the Dartford Tunnel on the M25 clockwise from junction 1A to junction 1B at Dartford have been shut off.

Traffic reporting experts Inrix reported a crash; however, after being approached by KentOnline, police stated the delays were actually caused by a broken-down vehicle.
At 3.17pm today, National Highways announced all lanes had now reopened.
However, six miles of congestion remain on the approach, causing residual delays of 40 minutes.
It comes as temperatures in the area hit 28 degrees celsius during one of the warmest summers on record.
