Pedro Porro has welcomed Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham but the right-back has joked that there is one thing he is not looking forward to doing with the Ghanaian.
Mohammed Kudus has some history with Micky van de Ven and Pape Sarr, having got a red card for shoving the Spurs pair in the face in the London derby back in October of last year.
However, there is no doubt that the past will be put to one side as the winger joins the Tottenham Hotspur family.
The 24-year-old adds a lot of firepower to Thomas Frank’s frontline and his arrival means that competition for places in the Spurs front three is going to intensify ahead of the new season.
Pedro Porro welcomes Mohammed Kudus with a funny response
The Tottenham players certainly know what Kudus is capable of, having come up against his powerful and dynamic dribbling a few times over the last two seasons.
Porro, in particular, has been on the receiving end, having had direct battles against Kudus, who has gotten the better of the Spaniard on a few occasions.
The right-back responded to Tottenham’s Kudus announcement post on Instagram, admitting that he is not looking forward to the one-v-ones in training against the new Lilywhites signing.
Porro wrote: “Welcome. Now I just have to put up with your 1v1s in training…hahaha.”
Kudus’ first words as a Spurs player will excite Tottenham fans
In his first interview as a Spurs player, Kudus said that the size and history of the club attracted him to N17, as well as working under Thomas Frank.
The winger also confessed that he is looking forward to playing Champions League football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Perhaps most consequentially, the 24-year-old insisted that he is only focused on the team’s objectives for the season rather than any individual milestones or accolades.
