Alternatively, the graphic novel The Bleak Dominion features the superstar team of Cullen Bunn and Piotr Kowalski as they weave a new tale featuring the hunters Gretchen and Abraham.

Dead Space: Salvage

$17.32

Dead Space hasn’t had too many graphic novels over the years, but the ones that are out there are chilling tales of sci-fi horror. Dead Space: Salvage was a six-issue mini-series released before Dead Space 3, and it tells the story of a group of freelance miners who find the abandoned USG Ishimura from the first game. What should be an easy payday quickly turns into a fight for survival as they find the spaceship is still swarming with Necromorphs.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

The best thing about NetherRealm’s first Injustice game was that it spawned one of the best comic book series of all time. Originally released as a webcomic tie-in, the Injustice comics fill in the five-year gap between Superman falling to the dark side and Batman forming a resistance to the Man of Steel.

The first year is an excellent read thanks to the shocking plot and fantastic art, and if you want to go all-out, the Compendium Edition collects Years 1-3 of the Injustice saga.

Horizon Zero Dawn

$20 ($36)

Horizon fans can experience new tales in Aloy’s world with this collection of two graphic novels. The first volume is set in the aftermath of a titanic battle that almost laid waste to the Carja capital Meridian, and with Aloy having mysteriously vanished, a new threat emerges. Volume Two is set during the events of Horizon Zero Dawn and it follows Erend and Aloy as they hunt for the killer of an important member of the Oseram tribe.

The Witcher

The Witcher comics by publisher Dark Horse Comics featured several talented teams behind various tales, all telling new adventures of Geralt of Rivia. The first omnibus collects Witcher series like House of Glass, Fox Children, Curse of Crows, and the Killing Monsters and bundles them together with annotations from the creators of the comics, as well as a sketchbook section. The second volume collects Of Flesh and Flame, Fading Memories, Witch’s Lament, and the Free Comic Book Day 2021 short story Once Upon a Time in the Woods, and it also features a cover gallery, expanded sketchbook section, and more.
