The Evnia 27M2N3800A is one of the cheapest dual mode gaming monitors boasting 4K and FHD resolutions with up to 320Hz refresh rate.
Philips Unveils Evnia 27M2N3800A Monitor, Delivering Competitive Dual Mode Configuration for a Much Lower Price Than Competitors
The majority of monitor manufacturers are continuously bringing faster and high-end offerings in their catalog, but Philips is one of the handful of monitor makers that are filling the budget and mid-range segment with affordable displays. From launching affordable 1080p to high fidelity 1440p and 4K gaming monitors, Philips has been very active in the last few months, but the Evnia 27M2N3800A is one of its most compelling offerings.

The new Evnia 27M2N3800A brings both 4K and FHD resolutions onboard, competing with monitor models like ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG-W but at a much lower price tag. While the latter currently sits for around $450, the Evnia 27M2N3800A is launched for £279, which roughly translates to US$378 with VAT. Excluding the VAT, we get a price tag of around $315, which is significantly lower than the ROG dual mode monitor.
We’re thrilled to launch the Philips Evnia 27M2N3800A, a powerhouse of high-performance features designed specifically for the gaming community. Dual Mode allows users to get the most out of every genre of game while enjoying thrilling speed and true-to-life visuals
We are committed to delivering future-ready, premium gaming monitors for both performance-driven and immersive gaming experiences to ensure competitive precision and cinematic depth.

Talking about the specifications, the Evnia 27M2N3800A brings 4K resolution that can run at up to 160Hz, and the second mode offers 1080p resolution with up to 320Hz refresh rate. The former is excellent for high fidelity and immersive visuals, and the latter is more suitable for eSports gaming. With both options, gamers can easily switch between the two and adjust the display properties as needed.
The Evnia 27M2N3800A uses a 27-inch screen size and a Fast IPS panel to deliver rich visuals with a response time of just 0.5ms MPRT and 1ms GtG. This ensures a competitive advantage over regular IPS monitors, while the high refresh rates ensure fluidity in gameplay. The monitor has a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, making color reproduction vibrant, and is also HDR compatible. The best part is that the monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 ports, offering up to 48 Gbps of bandwidth for uncompressed visuals. The monitor also has a DP 1.4 port and that is also satisfactory in performance. Apart from impressive specs, the monitor also provides built-in speakers for convenience and has ergonomic stand for various adjustments.
