A road was closed after a workman’s van burst into flames.
Fire crews could be seen tackling the blaze in Shrubcote, Tenterden, shortly before 12.30pm today.

Huge plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing from the vehicle in the area.
A fire service spokesman said: “One fire engine attended and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and dampen down hotspots.
“There are no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.”

The road was closed but has since reopened.
